Our team continues their diligent work as removal of the former Super Chief quad continues. Crews were on site this week to complete the removal of the lower terminal, leaving the lift towers as the last remaining pieces of the old lift in place. The next step will be excavating the foundations for the new lift towers in preparation for July’s installation.
We are optimistic that we have found a new home for the former Super Chief, as plans have been submitted to the USFS to replace the current Easy Street chairlift servicing our beginner area. Public comment is currently open. With approval, the replacement will take place this summer as well.
We continue to ask that those looking to access the National Forest via Ski Santa Fe observe all closures due to construction and access the area via Easy Street or Sunnyside. With the construction scheduled to take place through October, there will be no Fall Activities taking place this year.
Stay tuned throughout the summer as we will be providing frequent updates on the lift project. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook to see photos and videos from the project as they happen!
